Built for the morning
everything changes.
ISKALD started not in a boardroom, but on the edge of a Norwegian fjord at sunrise. That is when our founder watched his grandfather walk into water that should have killed a man, and walk out smiling.
Our founder grew up in a small town outside Bergen, Norway. The kind of place where the wind comes off the North Sea and you learn early what cold actually means. His grandfather, Lars, walked into the fjord every morning before breakfast. Even at 70, even at 80, even the year he turned 92. He died at 94. Sharp, present, and home.
Years later, working long hours in an American tech company, our founder was burning out. Foggy mornings, racing thoughts, a body that felt ten years older than the calendar said. He remembered Lars. He went looking for a cold plunge tub he could fit in his apartment.

Every option was wrong. The good ones cost five thousand dollars. The cheap ones leaked, lost their cold in hours, or felt like pool toys. Nobody had built one that did the thing well, at a price a normal person could justify.
So he built one. He spent two years on materials. Seven layers of thermal insulation. A frame that holds 330 pounds. A skin that resists UV, mold, and cold cracking. He tested prototype after prototype in his garage, in his backyard, in friends' yards across three states. The ISKALD Pro Tub is the cold plunge he wished he could buy when he was 32 and breaking down. It is named for the Norwegian word his grandfather used: iskald. Ice cold.

ISKALD /ˈiːs.kɑld/
From the Norwegian word meaning "ice cold." A single word that carries centuries of Nordic ritual: the morning plunge that wakes the body, sharpens the mind, and resets the nervous system. We built one tub worthy of the name.
